About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to join our Distribution Program Management Office (DPMO) in Newark, DE, supporting a Senior Project Manager in overseeing various electric utility distribution programs in Newark, Delaware. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional with a passion for project management, contract administration, and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Process Analysis: Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements and analyzing current workflows to optimize processes.
- Project Support: Provide day-to-day support for the Sr. Project Manager by helping manage project timelines, tracking progress, and participating in project meetings.
- Contract Administration: Aid in the development of RFPs for distribution programs, create contract requisitions, manage contract payment authorizations, and oversee invoice review, approval, and accruals.
- Data Management: Handle extensive program-level data tracking through tools like Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assist in preparing functional and technical specifications, training materials, and user documentation for new systems or system enhancements.
- User Support: Offer support during system implementation and post-implementation phases, providing troubleshooting and addressing user concerns.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail-oriented work and data accuracy.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with advanced functions in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros), as well as familiarity with SharePoint and Power BI.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of articulating complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and maintain accurate records.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in project management support roles or with contract administration is a plus.
- Familiarity with the electric utility or energy industry is advantageous but not required.
